The forthcoming attraction directed by Anurag Kashyap , ' Bombay Velvet ' had a huge chunk of its shoot at Ranminithenna Mahinda Rajapeksa National Tele Cinema Park in Sri Lanka, which is developed in the year 2010 in order to promote local film industry. Apparently, it became the first Indian movie to be filmed there. Going by the news update, the director Anurag Kashyap will arrange a special screening of ' Bombay Velvet ' for Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapeksa.

' Bombay Velvet ' storyline required the set of Mumbai of 1950's and 60's. The set was erected in Sri Lanka, as it could have proved costly to build the entire set in Mumbai, as stated by Kashyap. The movie is inspired by Gyan Prakash's book 'Mumbai Fables', which is a tribute to Mumbai prior to becoming a metropolitan city. A 4-acre plot of land was allotted to the shooting of the film, as per the report.

As a sign of gesture, Kashyap along with his team will be planning a special screening of the film. This screening will be there in November prior to the official release of the film and will be attended by Kashyap and the lead stars Ranbir and Anushka. There will also be the press conference during the event. ' Bombay Velvet ' features Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma in the lead role. The film hits the screens on November 28.
