The film is not a remake; it is made as a biopic on the life of the deadly villain Veerappan. The poster also reads, ‘It took 10 years to kill Osama Bin Laden, It took 20 years to kill Veerappan’

The biopic has been scheduled to release on 27th May, 2016.
