'Chennai Express' zooms ahead the 200 crore mark in Domestic market

Shah Rukh Khan and Rohit Shetty are boozing high on the ongoing success shower of their recent release ' Chennai Express '. Initially the distributors were not quite sure about this "Express" to halt for a long on the profit platform, merely now the wagons are packed with more than enough amount of their expectations.

' Chennai Express ' was already predicted to be a hit with SRK leading the ride, but it took the whole B-Town on surprise when the first three days of the film geared up to break all records. With highest paid preview grosser counting over 6 crores, to breaking the 100 crore mark in three days followed by touching 150 crore mark in the first week, the flick rolled up the eyes of one in trade business.

However, even after rubbishing off all then set marks, the success train is in no mood to halt deciding its final destination. As per the sources, the movie in its third week is running with record breaking business worldwide, the domestic market being on the top. If the reports are to be believed, Shah Rukh Khan , Deepika Padukone starrer has ran ahead to become a trend setter with surpassing the coveted 200 crore mark in the domestic market. Reportedly, it has till date collected approximately 201.01 crores in the domestic circuit.

However, if the trade analysts assumed that metros like Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore have proved their best to get the flick reach this path, then they have been proved wrong. The movie has balanced itself pretty well to run through packed houses even in bantam cities, getting a national thumbs up.
