Deepika Padukone opens up about her upcoming film Padmavati

Superstar Deepika Padukone has been in news for her upcoming Hollywood film XXX and also her Bollywood venture Padmavati. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s movie also stars Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in key roles. In a recent media interaction, Deepika opened up about the film and also spoke about her challenging role.

Deepika said, “There are so many times when you want to do a particular film and you try everything under the sun to make it work, but it doesn’t. This one just fell in my lap, and it’s so exciting that I have been given an opportunity to play such a powerful role. Padmini is someone who is worshipped by so many people. [The film] is something that I am extremely proud of, and I feel very lucky that something like this came my way. It’s going to be a very tough six months.”

Padmavati has been scheduled to release on 17 November, 2017.
