Deepika Padukone roped in to play lead Badlapur 2!
Deepika Padukone will be playing a revenge-fuelled badass character in Dinesh Vijan’s film!

Bollywood has a knack for making sequels for successful films. Hence producers of 2015’ smashing hit revenge drama film, Badlapur, have decided to make a sequel and it is indeed one of the good decisions we must say! Although there isn’t any news whether director Shriram Raghavan would direct this film or not, if grapevines are to believed, Deepika Padukone would most likely to be cast for Badlapur 2!
First Badlapur was both, critically and commercially hit. It was praised for every aspect, right from its direction, screenplay, performances by not only protagonist-antagonist but by supporting cast also. It is certain that producers have a task to live up to its expectations and out perform them and have to be bang on with lead casting.
Given Deepika’s role record, the plotline of Badlapur 2 must a women-centric and if the producers have decided to stick to the revenge aspect, then Deepika is the perfect cast for the role. It was also believed that producer Dinesh Vijan tossed this idea and Deepika seems to like it. And it is not the first time Deepika would be collaborating with Dinesh VIjan as they have worked in films like Love Aaj Kal, Cocktail and Finding Fanny, so she is most likely to play a lead in the Badlapur2!
