Details: Anil Kapoor & Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s Fanny Khan to have a newbie!

Here comes an interesting new update from the film Fanney Khan starring actors Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in key roles. The forthcoming film will also feature a young new face alongside the A listers. The new girl will essay the role of Anil Kapoor ’s daughter in the movie. According to the reports, the newbie actress will be overweight and have self-esteem issue. The movie will highlight the problem of body shaming via this character.

BollywoodMDB earlier updated our readers that Aishwarya and Anil Kapoor are not paired opposite each other but, they play very crucial characters in the movie. Both the actors have worked together previously in films like Humara Dil Aapke Paas Hai (2000) and Taal (1999).

Anil Kapoor will essay the role of an aspiring singer and a father. The movie will be mostly shot in the crowded Mumbai space. In a media statement, he said, “Fanney Khan is a metaphor for someone aggressive and over-reaching himself.” The character Kapoor plays is unlike anything he has played so far. “It took me time to understand him,” the actor added.

Talking about working with Aishwarya, the evergreen star said, “Though she’s not cast opposite me I am really glad to work with Aishwarya again. She is a delightfully professional artiste. I’ve done two films with her in past, Taal and Hamara Dil Aapke Paas Hai. Both did well. With Fanney Khan, I hope to achieve a hat trick of hits with her.”

The film Fanney Khan will be helmed by Atul Manjrekar and is said to be shot in Mumbai majorly. The movie is jointly produced by KriArj Entertainment and T-Series.
