Shah Rukh Khan was summoned by the court of Rajasthan (Jaipur) to appear in the court on May 26. The summons was issued because Anand Singh Rathore had filed a complaint against him who was spotted puffing cigarette in the Sawai Man Singh Stadium, Jaipur during an IPL match on April 8.
Thereafter, a policeman from Jaipur had reached Mumbai to hand over summons copy to Shahrukh so that he could appear in the court on May 26. When police of Rajasthan with the help of Bandra Police visited his house Mannat, he was not at home. So the police had handed over the summons copy to one of the relatives of him.
Thereafter, people were waiting to see what happens next. Does Shahrukh appear in the court?
The answer is \'No\'.
Shah Rukh Khan did not appear in the court on 26th May, 2012 but a counsel V.R. Bajva representing him, appeared in the court and pleaded guilty on his behalf. He requested him to be exempted from personal appearance by producing an application. However, petitioner\'s counsel objected this.
Magistrate Shilpa Sameer, after hearing both the parties, postponed the case till 21st June.
It should be noted that Shahrukh is not needed to be present in person in next hearing.
