Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali only has praises for Shahid Kapoor!

Shahid Kapoor for the first time in his career did a Sanjay Leela Bhansali period film and nailed the role of Rajput emperor, Maharawal Ratan Singh. Where the majority of movie lovers are praising Ranveer Singh for his dark character of Alauddin Khilji, there’s one man who hasn’t forgotten what Shahid has done in the film ‘ Padmaavat ’. We are talking about director Sanjay Leela Bhansali , who just has praises for the talented Shahid. Expressing his gratitude for working with the talented actor for the first time, Bhansali said in an interview, "Shahid was a new energy on set because I hadn’t worked with him before. It was interesting to see how a new actor works. He is a great-looking kid. He is extremely talented and so effortless. He constantly wants to become better. He would say, ‘I’m unhappy with that shot. Can I do this better?’ And I would tell him, ‘Can you stop pushing yourself. And punishing yourself because I know what I want from you.”
Bhansali continued saying, “It was great working with him. He gave Maharawal Ratan Singh such dignity and silence. It was a nuanced and delicate performance. I’m so proud of what he has done in this film. To play a straight and understated part, yet to make your presence felt is very difficult. Deepika (Padukone) and Shahid look so good together. I wish they do more films with each other.”
Well, where Shahid is now focusing on his upcoming film, ‘ Batti Gul Meter Chalu ’, we hope that he may collaborate with Bhansali again.
