Don’t spread false news about Don 3, requests Farhan Akhtar
Currently, the film is at the scripting stage and will officially be announced once the script is ready.

There is a huge excitement among the audience for the next installment of Excel Entertainment ’s Don , featuring Shah Rukh Khan . The work on the script of Don 3 is currently underway and the project might be announced anytime soon. However, before the makers announce the movie themselves, a publication reported false news about it saying that the script has been locked and Farhan Akhtar will play a cop in it. Rubbishing the news, Farhan denied being part of Don 3 . He took to social media and wrote, "Request those who conjure up news about #Don3 without any fact checking to please refrain. It is not fair to raise expectations of the film's fanbase via false news."
Putting an end to baseless rumors, the actor appealed to curb loose speculation. He has requested not to spread false news across as it may increase unfair expectations of the film's fanbase audience. The first film in Farhan Akhtar 's Don franchise not only performed well at the Box office but was also appreciated by critics. Don 2 , released in 2011, saw a similar response by critics and the public alike.
