'Drishyam' gets 'UA' certification

Ajay Devgn , Tabu starrer ' Drishyam ' is all set to hit the theatres on July 31 and the film gets 'UA' certification from the censor board. There is a scene in the flick in which a lady character is slapped during police interrogation and this sequence has been cut from the movie by the censor board.

' Drishyam ' is the Hindi remake of Malayalam flick 'Drishyam' and the film also has its Tamil version titled 'Papanasam'. Certain dialogues were also axed in Hindi version. As revealed by a close source "The censor board under the chairmanship of Mr Pahlaj Nihalani is very clear on the question of violence against women. Under no circumstances are they willing to allow woman to be shown being hit, abused or violated." The source further added that "Viacom 18, the producers of ' Drishyam ' were happy to make the cuts."
