Exclusive: Sidharth Malhotra’s upcoming film ‘Sher Shah’ to be produced by Karan Johar!
Jointly produced by Karan and Shabbir Boxwala, Sher Shah is a biopic on Martyr Vikram Batra, and it will be directed by Vishnu Varadhan.
Director-producer Karan Johar is on a roll these days. The ace filmmaker already has more than 8 films on his platter, and just now, he announced his yet another film. Starring Sidharth Malhotra as the lead, Karan is now bankrolling the biopic of Kargil War Martyr, Vikram Batra. The film is titled Sher Shah, and it will be directed by Vishnu Varadhan. Jointly produced by Karan and Shabbir Boxwala, Sher Shah is written by Sandeep Shrivastava.
Sidharth has been prepping up for the movie for quite a long time now, but the project was kept under tight wraps. Sidharth also revealed the news on Twitter, captioning, “Excited to announce that I will be portraying “Sher Shah” Vikram Batra’s heroic story produced by @DharmaMovies n Shabbir box wala, Directed by Vishnu Varadhan, written by-Sandeep Srivastava. #Shershah”
The film will have Sid in a double role as Captain Vikram Batra had a twin brother.
The other cast and a release date of the film are awaited.
