Fanney Khan goes on floor with power house talents!

Atul Manjrekar’s directorial Fanney Khan has been in news for its casting for quite some time now. Finally, everything is locked and the team has commenced its first shooting schedule. The lead cast includes Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, and Rajkummar Rao. There were several speculations being made about R. Madhavan’s casting but things did not work out and finally, Rajkummar Rao came on board.

The movie is about a father who is an aspiring singer played by Anil Kapoor. A new face will be roped in soon to essay the daughter’s part. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan also plays a singer in the movie and Rajkummar Rao will be seen as her love interest and also have a pivotal role. Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya have worked together previously in films like Humara Dil Aapke Paas Hai (2000) and Taal (1999).

In a media statement, Anil Kapoor said, “Fanney Khan is a metaphor for someone aggressive and over-reaching himself.” The character he plays is unlike anything he has played so far. “It took me time to understand him,” the actor added. The actor posted the update about the film on social media and wrote: “The pillars of #FanneyKhan @TSeries @kriarj @ROMPPictures !! With the combined power of these creative machines, we're off to a great start!”
