Hollywood does not understand our cinema, says Anupam Kher

Actor Anupam Kher who was recently rewarded with a City Proclamation in Los Angeles for his contribution to Cinema feels that Hollywood is not interested in Indian films.

He explained that Hollywood's storytelling and logic is different. They don't understand our cinema and cannot relate to it. They can't logically understand as to how people converse with to each other in one instance and in the other, are singing songs. The actor who was a part of Oscar nominated movie 'Silver Linings Playbook' feels that films abroad stresses on logic. For them logic means more than celebration. Thus, they call our movies to be musical. They go with what they think is the best, not what we think is the best. People abroad get shocked when they see us shooting a dance or song sequence there. But that's Bollywood, added Anupam.

He said that our films untie the country and in our cinema halls there is no discrimination between rich or poor or any religion. There are many benefits.
