According to the source, the reason behind following the new trend is that , there is Lakshmi Pooja on Sunday which is an auspicious day for all the Indians to begin any new thing. Before that, there is Dhanteras on Saturday, on which people go for Diwali shopping. Hence, the filmmakers decided to release their film on Sunday. The distributor close to Roshans, said that it is observed that two weeks before Diwali are slow for the box-office as people are busy with Diwali preparations. Hence, the filmmakers settled on 3rd November. On Sunday, there is a holiday and people will be free as well as eager to watch Hrithik's film so it will be helpful for a film to do more business. Rakesh Roshan confirmed the news and said that, first of all it's a Sunday and secondly its Lakshmi Pooja , an auspicious day to start a new venture, hence they scheduled the release date on 3rd November.
