In the fourth episode of his popular TV show 'Satyamev Jayate', Aamir Khan had talked about the medical malpractices. The show also highlighted insensitivity and corruption rampant in the medical profession.

The doctors found this episode objectionable and felt that the actor had defamed the doctors by giving a one-side story. Hence, they accused the actor of sending a wrong message to the society saying that it could harm the doctor-patient relationship.

An apology was demanded from Aamir Khan by an umbrella of 21 medical institutions including The Indian Medical Association for insulting the medical profession on his talk show 'Satyamev Jayate'. They had warned the actor that in the absence of an immediate apology, they would ask the people to boycott his movies and TV shows.

Aamir Khan rarely believes in giving clarifications for his actions. But while talking to a popular news channel, he said, "I will not apologise to the doctors, I have not insulted the medical profession. Those doctors who indulge in unethical practices have defamed the profession, not me."

It's true, why Aamir should apologise for throwing light on already existing malpractices in the medical profession! Instead of demanding an apology from the actor, shouldn't the doctors, who indulge in unethical practices, feel sorry about their behaviour?
