Indian adaptation of ‘Modern Family’ to go on floors next year, confirms Anil Kapoor!

After adapting American drama series 24 for Indian audiences and delivering two successful seasons, superstar Anil Kapoor is all set to adapt the popular American sitcom Modern Family for Indian television. The actor had announced his plans to adapt the series in 2015, but since then nothing much happened in this regards, which set tongues wagging about the show being shelved.

But, talking to a leading tabloid, Anil Kapoor rubbishes all rumours about the show being shelved and confirms Indian audience will definitely see the Indian version of Modern Family. The veteran actor says that he had to put the show on hold as he was busy with some film projects. He says that now he will focus on the show and soon start working on it.

"The contracts are all done and I can proudly say that everything is on paper now. We will lock everything by the year-end and hopefully, start rolling by early next year," he says.

Meanwhile, Anil Kapoor is currently busy promoting his upcoming film Mubarakan, which also stars his real-life nephew Arjun Kapoor, Ileana D’Cruz, and Athiya Shetty in lead roles.
