Is Mohit Suri planning 'Ek Villain' sequel with Aditya Roy Kapur?
It will be their second film together after the massive success of Aashiqui 2.
Buzz has it that acclaimed filmmaker Mohit Suri is set to bring a sequel to his hit film, Ek Villain, which released in 2014 and turned out to be a hit at the box office, joining the coveted Rs. 100 crore club before wrapping up its run. The original film starred Shraddha Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra in pivotal roles, whereas, for its sequel, Suri wants Aditya Roy Kapur as the male lead. The director has reportedly met the actor to narrate the story, which he has liked.
According to a source, the director wanted a fresh cast for the film, hence he approached Kapur. “Mohit has a bound script ready, and it’s an Ek Villain’s sequel. He wants to take the franchise ahead with a fresh star cast. Aditya has been approached for the sequel. He has also liked the script,” the source says.
If the news is really true, it will be Mohit and Aditya's second film together after the blockbuster film, Aashiqui 2, which also starred Shraddha Kapoor.
