Karan Johar’s first ever comedy flick to have Vicky Kaushal in the lead!
Karan Johar and Vicky Kaushal are collaborating for a movie and this will be the first ever comedy flick for the two.
Though Vicky Kaushal didn’t have any release in 2017, he is one of the busiest actors of the year. The young actor has 4 films lined up to release in 2018. Vicky is known for his roles in the critically acclaimed movies ‘Masaan’ and ‘Raman Raghav 2.0’. Though both the movies were different, they showed Vicky in some serious shade. The actor has done countable movies till date but has proved his worth in the industry and now has bagged a film with ace director-producer Karan Johar. The actor has been roped in for the sequel of 2013’s critically acclaimed film ‘Bombay Talkies’. Karan Johar will be directing one of the quartets of the series which will be an out and out comedy, for which Vicky will be playing the lead.
The film is said to be a complete comedy flick. Karan, who is been in the industry for more than two decades now, has never directed a comedy film. So this will not only be the first time that Karan and Vicky are collaborating, but also the first ever comedy film for the both.
As per the sources, “The series will be an out and out comedy where Karan will unleash his creativity to the brim. Karan approached Vicky after seeing the rushes of Raazi and after giving screen test Vicky was selected to play the main lead. The final paperwork is yet to take place next week.”
Next year, Vicky will be seen in the lead for the films like Meghna Gulzar’s ‘Raazi’, Ronnie Screwvala’s ‘Love Per Square Feet’ and a film on URI surgical attack. He will also be seen in a pivotal role in one of the most awaited Raju Hirani’s film, the Dutt biopic.
