Kareena Kapoor Khan’s ‘Veere Di Wedding’ postponed by two weeks!
Initially scheduled to release on 18th May, ‘Veere Di Wedding’ will now hit the screens on 1st June, confirms Ekta Kapoor.

Kareena Kapoor Khan , who took a break from movies after ‘ Udta Punjab ’, is again the part of showbiz. After few months of giving birth to her lovely child, Taimur Ali Khan, Kareena resumed shooting for her upcoming film, ‘ Veere Di Wedding ’. ‘ Veere Di Wedding ’ is directed by Shashanka Ghosh and also stars Sonam Kapoor , Swara Bhaskar , Shikha Talsania and Sumeet Vyas . However, the release date of the movie has just changed. Earlier, the film was supposed to release on 18th May but Ekta Kapoor just confirmed that it will now release on 1st June. Ekta took to Twitter to announce this, saying, “1 June is one big day!!!! Veere di wedding arrives on my lakkshya ‘s bday!!!! Ab shaadi aur bday pe aap sab ko nimantran hai.”
The movie is being jointly made under Balaji Motion Pictures and the production house too confirmed the big news on Twitter, their caption read, “A wedding to remember and a date that's unforgettable! Block your calendars for Veere Di Wedding on 1st June 2018. RSVP nowww! :)”
This is the first time that a film based on 4 leading ladies is being made on such a large scale. On ‘ Veere Di Wedding ’ being called a chick flick, Sonam had earlier said, "Don’t call it that! It’s so bad. There’s no such thing as chick flicks. Do you call a hero’s film a stud film? No, right? It’s so tacky."
Well, as of now, no other film than VKW is scheduled to release on 1st June, but 2018 being the year of clashes, we can’t say what’s going to happen in the coming 4 months.
