Sanjay Leela Bhansali's ' Bajirao Mastani ' will see Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone starring together. ' Bajirao Mastani ' is known to be a film, which is in progress over the years and was in news for the spat between famous former - couple Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai .
The film eventually received approval by banner Eros International. According to a buzz, Bhansali may feature Deepika Padukone for the role of 'Mastani' and Katrina Kaif would portray the character of 'Kashibai', wife of Bajirao in the movie.
The two divas were last seen together sharing stage for the dancing performance with Shah Rukh Khan at IPL Season 6 opening ceremony on 2nd April. Evidently, the two actresses shared not so good vibes against each other at the event.
Bhansali will initiate with the pre-production task of ' Bajirao Mastani ' post the release of ' Ram Leela ' in the month of October, as revealed by a close source. The person added that the shooting for the film will start by April 2014. Reportedly, both the B-Town heroines expressed much interest in the project.
The project was on hold post break-up of Salman and Aishwarya. Bhansali was earlier thinking of roping in Rani Mukherjee for the role of Kashibai in 'Bajirao Mastani'. Talking about male lead in the film, Bhansali might cast Shah Rukh Khan , Salman Khan or Ajay Devgn opposite Katrina and Deepika.
