Katrina Kaif turns on her action mode in 'Phantom'

All of us have seen Katrina Kaif mesmerizing the audience with her stunning looks and spectacular dance moves, but now Katrina is all set to do something novel. Katrina Kaif will reportedly sport her action avatar in the upcoming film 'Phantom', as she is geared up to do some breathtaking action stunts in this flick.

Katrina had earlier performed some action scenes in the films like 'Bang Bang!', 'Ek Tha Tiger' and 'Dhoom 3'. However, the action sequences of Katrina in 'Phantom' will reveal a whole new story. Talking about this, the director Kabir Khan said that "I don't want to sound pompous but I do believe that this (Phantom) will be Katrina's finest performance so far. Her character is real, raw and so are the action scenes. They are not over-the-top, which is why they are more difficult to execute. There's an underwater sequence here, where she had to be about 40 feet below water, which was riskier than the kind of stunts she did in Ek Tha Tiger. It was commendable. I was under the water myself shooting that scene. That way my actors get that sense of confidence."

Khan added that "I try and avoid using body doubles as you can't show the face then. We've shot a scene near the actual border of Syria, there were real guns around but she held on her own."
