From the time Aamir Khan has presented his show 'Satyamev Jayate' it has gained controversies. Firstly Rajasthan government showed its annoyance and after that doctors asked him to apologize to show the malpractices of doctors in his show.
In one of his episodes aired on 3rd June, Aamir showed about the ill practices of Khap panchayat where lovers are given inhuman justice.
In response to this episode, Aamir Khan 's show has become controversial once again because Khap panchayat are demanding his show to be closed.
On the very episode, Aamir Khan lodged a barrage of questions at members of a Khap Panchayat. In their defense, the Khap Panchayat said, "We are trying to safeguard social customs and traditions which are the backbone of any society," said Randhir Singh, president of Meham Chaubisi khap panchayat to a leading daily.
"Such marriages are avoided in most societies across the world as their ill effects have been scientifically proven," he added.
Even though, a few people or group are against his show, people of India are happy that he has taken such step to show the evil practices prevalent in our society. He has tried to raise social issues such dowry, female feticide, illegal medical practices, child abuse etc.
People believe that this show is good for the country and society, and should not go off the air.
