Gone are the days, when the success of the movie was solely dependent upon the starcast and the script. In today's tech savvy times, the trailer decides the fate of the film. Readily proved by the recent reports, the foundation of the blockbuster hits like ' Chennai Express ', ' Race 2 ', ' Dabangg 2 ', lies in their trailers, which have crossed the millions of viewership on You-tube, thereby destining the film to attain the list of super-hits. And breaking all the prior records, ' Krrish 3 ' trailer has backed all recent big flicks at box-office and has went viral by hitting 16 million views on internet!
Talking about the power of trailer, Karan Johar said that the trailer has 75% of the film's opening weight. The first visual of the film, sets its particular image in the spectator's mind, which impulses him to either catch it in theaters or not. Earlier, the filmmakers used to take out a teaser and then a trailer. Now, they need to come up with a big bang trailer, to make the noise and ensure it goes viral. Then the trailer followed by an eye-catchy first song, leads to 90% of opening bussiness and can do wonders to a film. For an instance, an impetous trailer of ' Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani ', followed by the thunderstroming track, "Badtameez Dil" created huge curiousity, heading it to be box-office hit of 2013.
