Earlier, we reported about the legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar to be the first persona to get honoured by " Yash Chopra Memorial Award", an award presented in a memory of the late ace filmmaker Mr. Yash Chopra .
Recently our reports came true when the "nightingale" Lata Mangeshkar was presented the honour on regards of her immense contribution towards the industry. The award was special and so what presented to her at the hands of the honorary Information and Broadcasting Minister of India, Mr. Manish Tewari.
Being obliged on the honors, the vocal queen, Lata Mangeshkar expressed her emotions as, she did not attend the event for the award or the 10 lakh rupees reward, but to honour the legend, Yashji's memories. The singer further stated that even though she met Yash Chopra on rare basis, yet both were very close to each other, as per the sources.
The event being special on its own, it went on to become a buzz when grabbed almost every biggie of Bollywood attending it right from Sridevi , Anil Kapoor , Akshay Kumar , Rani Mukherjee to the youngest of them all, Anushka Sharma , few among others.
