Manikarnika: Severely injured Kangana is thrilled to have a battle scar on her face!

Bollywood’s bold diva Kangana Ranaut who is known for her versatile roles and excellent performing skills often, unfortunately, finds herself in one controversy or the other. Lately, the actress made news for her upcoming film Manikarnika which is a warrior princess' story made on the life of the brave Jhansi Ki Rani. However, this film also got caught in its share of controversy. After being in the lime light for the nepotism debate, the actress now is stated to be severely injured on the sets of her film Manikarnika where she was shooting for a battle sequence that involved a lot of sword fighting.

The actress who was shooting for some intense sword fighting scenes with her co-star Nihar Pandya got severely injured. She was immediately rushed to the nearest Apollo Hospital. After a lot of pain and blood loss, Kangana got around 15 stitches on her forehead and has been advised rest for at least four days. But the brave hear Kangana isn’t sad or upset about the incident, in fact, she is quite thrilled about it.

In a media statement, Kangana said, “I am a bit embarrassed to be thrilled to have a battle scar on my face. Also, people from my team have been telling me that it's like that Peshwa teeka that Manikarnika wore. It’s a bit dramatic but I am excited that my face was covered in blood and I got a genuine and authentic glimpse of the Queen’s life.”

Manikarnika also stars TV actress Ankita Lokhande and Suresh Oberoi in key roles. The film has been scheduled to release on April 27, 2017.
