The megastar Amitabh Bachchan , on Thursday, carried the Olympic Torch in London at Southwark on the final leg of its 300-metre relay. He was a part of the 32.7 mile relay of the Olympic flame that also included the legendary personalities from all over the world and all walks of life like Lawrence Dallaglio, Lewis Moody, Jim Anderson, Phil Packer, Darren Fitzpatrick and Tom Davis.

Mr. Bachchan was specially invited to be a part of the London Olympics. In an interview after the run, he said that he had never dreamed that he would do something like this. He feels it's a great honour to be asked to carry the torch. He felt excited and proud and thanked London 2012 for having invited him there.

The actor, who is also a keen sports-lover expressed hope that the Indian sports team would do well in the Olympics. He has also wished good luck to the Indian sports team visiting the London Olympic.

The actor often mentions about his love for sports such as football, hockey, cricket, etc. We do hope that along with the country, the film fraternity too would be keeping an eye on the London games.
