Nimrat Kaur to portray Akshay Kumar's wife in 'Airlift'

We earlier reported about Akshay Kumar playing a billionaire businessman, who assists high-profile rescue operation in the upcoming film 'Airlift'. The film revolves around the biggest human evacuation of Indians from Kuwait during Iraq's invasion of the nation in the year 1990. The makers intend to re-erect Kuwait's war zones.

The further news update about the film revealed that Nimrat Kaur, who featured in the film 'The Lunchbox' will be playing Akshay Kumar's wife as well as aide in 'Airlift'. Presently, Nimrat is busy shooting in Cape Town, South Africa for Emmy-award winning series Homeland. It is being said that Akshay will be co-producing this film. 'Airlift' is expected to hit the floors in May 2015 and will be helmed by Raja Krishna Menon.
