Pahlaj Nihalani’s bold film Julie 2 gets A Certificate with no cuts!
The erotic drama Julie 2 presented by Pahlaj Nihalani gets A certificate with no cuts, has been passed all clear by the CBFC.
Julie 2 is the first film that Pahlaj Nihalani is associated with after his departure from the CBFC. The teaser and trailer of the film Julie 2 have been released featuring bold content. The movie is an erotic drama that narrates the struggles of young actors who are trying to make their way in Bollywood. The movie stars Raai Laxmi as the main protagonist and the lady is at her sensuous best in the promo videos. Julie 2 is the sequel to the 2004’s Julie starring Neha Dhupia. The bold posters of Julie 2 did not fail to catch everyone’s attention.
Now, the former chief is happy that his film has been passed with no cuts. Pahlaj Nihalani stated in a statement, “This is just what I had hoped for. If I was still the CBFC chairperson I’d have given Julie 2 an ‘Adults’ certificate with no cuts. It is a clean Adults film for adult members of a family. Though it’s a film on an adult subject—the exploitation of strugglers and newcomers in Bollywood—the film has no nudity, no skin show, and no double-meaning dialogues. Like I said it is a family film for adults and the CBFC has done the right thing.”
The film stars Raai Laxmi, Rati Agnihotri, Sahil Salathia, Aditya Srivastava, Ravi Kishen, Pankaj Tripathi and acclaimed director Nishikant Kamat. The film is co-produced by Vijay Nair and Santosh Dhoot! Julie 2 is set to release on 6th October 2017.
