Priyanka Chopra to produce Rabindranath Tagore’s teenage love story

Taking break from Bollywood, Priyanka Chopra has ventured into number of new projects. Right from outshining in Hollywood to backing the content driven regional cinema, she is effortlessly doing it all. Her production’s recent Marathi film Ventilator bagged number of National awards. And that has motivated her to produce yet another Marathi-Bengali bilingual film based on Rabindranath Tagore’s life.

This film will project never seen before facet of Rabindranath’s life. Summarizing the plot, when he was 17 year-old he used to stay at Dr. Atmaram Pandurang Turkhud’s house in Mumbai. That’s when he came in contact with his 20 year-old daughter Annapurna. Being an England returned, she was well versed in English. Therefore, young Tagore began taking English lessons from her. Slowly romance brewed between the both. Later, they broke up because of his father’s rage. While, she married a Scot, Harold Littledale and shifted her base back to England, Tagore kept their love memories alive in the form of his famous work - Nalini.

While, Priyanka was recently back in India, she heard the script and instantly gave her nod to produce it. Presently, the makers are on hunt of the star cast.
