Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt spotted in real slums of Mumbai to shoot their film ‘Gully Boy’!

On Saturday afternoon, actors Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh started shooting for their much talked about film, ‘Gully Boy’. As the film is a real-life story of Mumbai’s underground rappers who mostly belong to the slums of the city, director Zoya Akhtar too went to the Dharavi slums to shoot for the same. On Monday afternoon, the first pics from the shoots came out where Ranveer and Alia can be seen in the local wear surrounded by the people of that area. Alia was seen in a printed dress with a hijaab in the leaked images from the set. Ranveer was donning a simple look with a tee, shirt, and denim. He was carrying a backpack. From the leaked images, one can see Zoya explaining scenes to the two leading actors.

This is the first ever collaboration between Alia and Ranveer. Though the two were seen in a number of commercials, this is the first time that they are sharing the big screens.

We all know that Zoya and Ranveer have worked in the past, but this is the first time that Alia is working with Zoya and she only has praises for the director. Earlier, Alia spoke with a leading tabloid about working with Zoya in ‘Gully Boy’. The actress said, "It's a new space for me and I'd wanted to work with Zoya Akhtar ever since I saw ‘Luck By Chance’."

Reportedly, Kalki Koechlin too has joined the cast and will play a rapper like Ranveer.
