Ranveer Singh feels Rohit Shetty’s ‘Simmba’ might be his biggest solo outing!

Ranveer Singh is no doubt the superstar in the making. With films like ‘ Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela ’ (2013) and ‘ Bajirao Mastani ’ (2015), he has proved his mettle in the industry. In his 8 years long career, the ever-energetic and talented actor has done almost all the genre of movies. But for the first time, he is collaborating with the master of masala movies, i.e. Rohit Shetty . Ranveer has joined hands with Shetty for the upcoming film, ‘ Simmba ’ and the 32-year-old actor feels that this might his biggest solo outing. In an interview with a leading daily, the actor was asked if he was excitedly looking forward to the film given his love for the '90s masala films, to which he replied, "True, but I am very nervous too because it is not easy to perform in mainstream films and it’s not easy to make one either. It could be called my biggest solo outing. It is my first ‘in and as’ film."

‘ Simmba ’ is an official remake of the Telugu super hit film, ‘Temper’ and looking at the Southern film, we think this is the type of masala content which the masses are waiting for. Talking about his first ever collaboration with Shetty, he said, "I have admired Rohit sir’s work for a very long time now. We also have Karan Johar as the producer in this film. It’s a genre or brand of cinema that I thoroughly love. Of course, socially, I interact with people who are the ‘multiplex audience’, but my heart is ‘massy’ and that’s actually what I get a huge kick out of."Helmed by Shetty, the Ranveer Singh starrer ‘ Simmba ’ is produced by Karan Johar ’s Dharma Productions and is slated to theatres on 28th December 2018.
