Salman Khan: I want to be a part of films that would take my fitness to the next level!

Megastar Salman Khan can easily be termed as the Sylvester Stallone of Bollywood. Age is just a number for the 52-year-old hunk because for the last few years he is the ultimate action hero of B-town. The actor started his career with a spree of romantic flicks, but at this point in his career, Bhaijaan wants to make movies where he can challenge his fitness and take it to the next level. In an interview wth a leading daily, he said, "There was a spree of romantic films in my career, and I realised I was getting lethargic. I wanted to be part of films that would take my fitness to the next level. So, whether I need to work out excessively to look hefty, gain weight, or even lose it, I am game. Even though I am aware that this [fluctuation of weight] is harmful for the body, such roles are satisfying."

Further talking about his recent films and his roles, the actor likens his body to a diesel engine that doesn't tire when kicked into gear. "I can't do handstands or put my body upside down. But, apart from that, I can easily pull off quick movements, like the forward and back somersault, or floor rolls. My body is like a diesel engine, ek baar garam ho gaya toh chalta rahega," says Salman.

In the last decade, Salman also did some comedy flicks, though all his movies were hit, the action genre got a great response from the masses. His recent release ‘ Tiger Zinda Hai ’ by Ali Abbas Zafar also turned out to be a blockbuster and soon it will enter in the elite Rs. 300 crores club. So we feel Bhai is right, action suits him the most and that’s what Bhai’s fans want to see.
