Post the success of action-crime saga 'Shootout At Wadala', the ace director Sanjay Gupta is ready to arrive with his next venture. This time, the director will land up with a period crime-thriller titled 'Mumbai Saga'. Gupta recently made an announcement of the film on a social networking site, Twitter, by saying that "'Mumbai Saga' is the title of my new film. It is an epic crime saga set in the 80's and 90's."
Sanjay Gupta revealed that 'Mumbai Saga' would be the movie from which he is having maximum expectations. The 43-year old director said that his new project will encompass underworld, action, drama, cops, gangsters and politicians. Gupta stated that like earlier Shootout series, 'Mumbai Saga' will feature John Abraham, Manoj Bajpai, Anil Kapoor, Tusshar Kapoor and Sonu Sood in lead roles. The movie will definitely see some new entries too, as said by the director.
Gupta refrained from disclosing more details about the project. As the grapevine said, Abhishek Bachchan will be donning the attire of encounter specialist Vijay Salaskar, while John would be stepping in the shoes of a police officer this time and Manoj Bajpai will enact the role of notorious persona Arun Gawali, as per the buzz.
