John Abraham sings a 'tapori' number in 'Welcome Back'!

Bollywood actors don't limit themselves to acting these days and many of them lend their voice to film songs. Salman Khan sang a song in the upcoming film 'Hero' starring Sooraj Pancholi. The latest one to join the wagon is John Abraham. As per the report, John Abraham has sung a song in his forthcoming release 'Welcome Back'.

The lyrics of the song are "Time Lagaye Kaiko, Arrey Ban Ja Meri Baiko". It's said to be a tapori dance number. A close source said that "John has never sung before and it was the film's director Anees Bazmee who insisted that he sings. This is an out and out tapori number and is totally new thing for John, especially after films like 'Madras Cafe', 'Race 2' and 'Shootout At Wadala' where he played a serious part. However since he is playing a 'tapori' in 'Welcome Back', everyone felt that it would be good if he sings a number as well." Anu Malik will compose the song and Nitin Raikwar will be writing the lyrics.

The source told that "This one is a funny number where John is wooing Shruti Haasan and the latter wants her brothers Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar to know about it first. John has sung this one in a husky tone and done a rather decent job as a singer. Of course there is certain rawness that is expected when an actor comes behind the mike. That has been retained though to keep the natural flavor intact."
