Sathyaraj aka Kattappa becomes the first Tamil actor to have his wax statue at Madame Tussauds, London!
After darling Prabhas, Sathyaraj became second South Indian actor to have his live wax figure in any Madame Tussauds museum.
Baahubali: The Conclusion released last year but even after 11 months of its release, the buzz has not gone down. The film is still running in some countries of the world and remains in news for one or the other reason. The multi-starrer magnum opus gave every actor an individual fame and made them a household name. The latest news from the Baahubali franchise is that people’s favourite, Kattappa, played by Sathyaraj, will get his own wax statue at the Madame Tussauds Museum, London. The news was officially confirmed by Sathyaraj’s son, Sibi Sathyaraj aka Sibiraj. Sibiraj shared the exciting news on his Twitter page, following which the members of Tamil film industry and fans started pouring in congratulatory messages.
With this feat, Sathyaraj becomes the first Tamil actor to have his wax figure in any Madame Tussauds Museum.
Sathyaraj has remained a formidable force in the Tamil film industry for over three decades now. But, he became a household name worldwide after he essayed the iconic character of Kattappa in the two-part epic series Baahubali, which was created by director SS Rajamouli.
Till date, 17 Indian actors have their wax figures in numerous Madame Tussauds Museums and after Prabhas; Sathyaraj becomes the second actor from the Southern film industry to achieve this feat.
