After releasing with a whopping Rs 10.72 crore on the first day itself, and despite of being short of 500 theatre of the other major release and releasing on Diwali, SOS is marching rapidly across the country in the post-festive period, where its second day collection have soared to an amazing 16.21 crores.
SOS has taken a great leap, all because of word-of-mouth with Devgn and Co dominating the holidays!
This Diwali has been a prosperous charm for the SOS team, since as the film has already surpassed other releases in other regions like Rajasthan, Punjab, Maharashtra, UP, Bihar and Gujarat, while leveling with them in Delhi as well as Mumbai, which is undoubtedly a great achievement for a film that opened in lesser theatres as compared to its rivals.
Trade experts quote that SOS has a great head count for per theatre, since the audience are going to the already available screens to watch the mega-entertainer. They also say, that the film has also proved to be Devgn's highest opener's in a few important territories.
