Taapsee Pannu’s image in Bollywood changed after her strong performance in 2016’s film, Pink. She came to b-town from Southern cinema and the Hindi filmmakers were not utilizing her talent to the best. But after Pink, she is on the spree of signing content-driven movies. Last year, she completed shooting two films and a few weeks ago, the actress started Anurag Kashyap’s Manmarziyaan. As Kashyap is known for making fast pace movies, his direction also goes the same way and Taapsee says that the on-going film will get wrapped up in the just 2 months.
Talking with a portal, the 30-years-old actress said, "I finished Mulq in 27 days, start to finish. We shot for Soorma in three locations, including Punjab, Haryana, and Serbia, yet we wrapped it up between mid-November and December. Manmarziyan will also be wrapped up in two months flat."
In an earlier conversation with a leading daily, the actor revealed that she got rejected over stupid things and was talked about in a very weird manner initially. "I was told, ‘You are not beautiful and glamorous enough’, ‘Oh no, you’re too serious an actor... ‘You’re not good enough an actor’, ‘You are not so and so’s daughter’. I was even told, ‘You are not a big marketable name," said the actor.
Well, we don’t have to say what a brilliant actor Taapsee is, her film choices speak for her.
Apart from the above mentioned three films, she will also be seen in Tadka, a Hindi remake of Malayalam film, Salt N’ Pepper, which will be directed by Prakash Raj.
