Filmmaker Tanuja Chandra, who is known for her powerful films like Dushman and Sangharsh, is all set to make her directorial comeback with a film featuring the very talented Irrfan Khan and South Indian actress Parvathy. The shooting of the film has been wrapped up and now it is in post-production stage.
Tanuja was recently in attendance at the premiere of Hollywood film The Big Sick. On being asked about her film, she says, "I have just finished up shooting a film. I can't talk about it right now, but its editing is going on.” She further adds, "I will call it an Indian romcom. Usually, my films have violence and female protagonists in it, but this is different. This film also has a female protagonist, but it is a romcom. There is no violence in this film.”
Irrfan Khan, who plays the male lead in the film, is said to be seen in a brand new avatar in it. The film is touted to be a romantic travelogue, focusing on love between two complete strangers during a road trip. The yet-to-be-titled project has been extensively shot across Gangtok and Bikaner and Rishikesh.
