Recently Amsterdam hosted the 'World Cinema Amsterdam Film Festival' between 7th-18th August and almost all cinema-goers must be already knowing it. There's something that one will be surely proud of. Anurag Kashyap and Guneet Monga produced ' The Lunchbox ', which is directed by Ritesh Batra , simply lured the overseas audiences to their core, so much so that it became the winning contender to get hold of "World Cinema Amsterdam Audience Award" at the festival.

As per the sources, Irrfan Khan , Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer flick received approximately 4,396 votes to be crowned as the best among the tough contending international flicks, such as 'Gloria', 'Le Passe Songs of Redemption' and 'Het Geheim van Marienburg'.

Reportedly, the flick plucked another feather of appreciation to be added to its hat by winning "Critics Week Viewers Choice Award" at the 66th Cannes International Film Festival held earlier this year.

After so much of ga-ga overseas, the audiences at home are eagerly waiting to feast themselves on this "Lunchbox", which is all set to cater us on the 20th of September 2013. The flick will also be released in Netherlands by the end of this year.
