The crime drama 'Detective Byomkesh Bakshy!' starring actor Sushant Singh Rajput received rave reviews and appreciations from the critics and audiences alike. Following the success of the film, the makers are discussing the possibility of a sequel.

According to a leading daily, producer Aditya Chopra was happy with the box office success and hence planning a part two. The film did a good business in spite of receiving a tough competition from the Hollywood film 'Furious 7'. The director Dibakar Banerjee also seems keen on the sequel.
