The shoot must go on! Ranveer Singh injured during the shooting of Padmavati

It seems that the shooting of Padmavati has got more obstacles in its way than expected. Till date, the film Padmavati has faced a lot of difficulties on its path. In February this year, the shoot was held at Jaigarh Fort in Jaipur. Midst the shooting activists of Karni Sena tried to vandalize the sets of Padmavati . They even assaulted Sanjay Leela Bhansali alleging that the movie was stating wrong facts about the Queen. Though the film maker did not file any FIR, he assured the activists that there are no such sequences in the film and their team has researched well.

In the second incident, the set of Padmavati was vandalized in Kolhapur. As per the sources, a group of 15-20 people set the costumes and the fodder for horses on fire. They also tried to burn the vehicles of the crew.

After this entire ruckus, Padmavati faced another incident. In this incident, actor Ranveer Singh , who plays Allahudin Khilji, suffered a severe injury during the shooting. It is said that while shooting the climax of the film, Ranveer was injured but no one noticed it until the shot was cut and Ranveer started bleeding profusely. Sources on the set said that Ranveer was given first aid and then rushed to a nearby hospital immediately. He received stitches for the wound on his head above his left eye.

Though being hurt badly, Ranveer resumed the shooting of the film immediately after leaving the hospital. Ranveer is known for getting into the character he plays completely. Deepika Padukone plays the title role of Padmavati while Shahid Kapoor plays Raja Ratan Singh. The movie has been scheduled to release on November 17, this year. The estimated budget of the film is 2 billion INR.
