Varun Dhawan learnt Marathi dialect for 'Badlapur' to add on the local feel

Residing in Mumbai for years, Varun Dhawan was familiar with Marathi dialect, but couldn't speak it until he tried to learn it by-heart for his next upcoming film 'Badlapur'.

'Badlapur' stars Varun in the role of a Maharashtrian boy named "Raghu". His character gets involved in lot of menace, therefore to make it more appealing he has mouthed some Marathi slangs. Apart from his Marathi tutor, his Maharashtrian gym instructor has been his inspiration in learning the dialect, who also taught him those Marathi slangs.

Directed by Sriram Raghavan, 'Badlapur' will hit the theatres February 20.
