Vidya Balan donates award money to Swades Foundation

The eminent Bollywood actress Vidya Balan is the face of national sanitation in India and the actress is actively involved in spreading awareness necessity of sanitation amenities and cleanliness in India.

For her contribution in the cinema, Vidya Balan was honoured with 'Woman Icon of the Year' in the last week and she received award amount of Rs. 5 lakhs. Reportedly, she decided to donate it to Swades Foundation, the organisation that works towards building toilets in India's rural part.

Upon receiving the cheque of Rs. 5 lakh from the actress, the team of Swades Foundation was very delighted as it will help in fulfilling their noble work purpose.
