What if Kareena Kapoor Khan & Katrina Kaif were cast in Baadshaho!
Director Milan Luthria revealed about casting decisions & how he got the idea for the story of Baadshaho!
With his latest film Baadshaho earning a solid opening of 12.03Cr at the box office and getting praises from the critics, Director Milan Luthria will be riding high with the coming success. But while in conversation with a popular daily, he revealed something that no one saw it coming as he revealed who was the consideration for the role of Sanjana and Gitanjali.
As he proceeds, he told, "I did discuss the film with Kareena Kapoor Khan and Katrina Kaif and both couldn't do the film. Kareena said she wanted to start a family and she was frank about it, while Katrina was caught up with her prior work commitments." Though Esha Gupta and Ileana D’cruz were simply flawless in the film, but it would be interesting to see Kareena and Katrina in a film, especially a film like Baadshaho which is just so badass!
There was also news Priyanka Chopra and Shruti Haasan were also considered for the same roles. But Milan also clarified that news saying “There were few names that were added on. I was developing Baadshaho and also working on another story and the two were mixed up by the media.”
Furthermore, when asked how did you come up with the idea of Baadshaho, he revealed, "I was shooting for Kachche Dhaage in Rajasthan and I heard a story that was about how during an Emergency lot of places were raided and a lot of gold and antique items were taken away. This is all documented and available online. The government sent the Army and they took away things."
As viewers reported, it is turned out that the film Baadshaho is bang for the buck movie experience! The film received good reviews from the critics and you can still catch the movie in the theatre near you!
