'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' to release in Israel

The last Bollywood film that released in Israel was the Shah Rukh Khan 's ' Devdas ' in 2012. Now after a gap of over 10 years, the distribution colossal Eros International is planning to release the upcoming Ranbir Kapoor , Deepika Padukone starrer ' Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani ' in Israel.

Kumar Ahuja the President of Business Development of Eros International said that, "The release date of the movie in India as well as in Israel happens to be on the same date. There is a huge demand for these movies since Israelis and the local Indian population over there are fond of Indian content". He also added that, "Earlier, Bollywood content was available on DVDs and Indian channels, but this can very well be called the beginning of a theatrical age of Hindi movies in Israel".

The movie ' Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani ' which is directed by young and talented director Ayan Mukherjee has been subtitled in Hebrew for the Israeli audience and is currently being promoted on television channels across the country.

Commenting on why no Bollywood film has released in Israel in the last decade, Kumar Ahuja expressed that ,there was no solid distributor in Israel until now and getting prints of the movie is an expensive process. But now Shai Motion Pictures (an Israeli Distributor) has invested in a portable projector which gives them the mobility to showcase movies at different locations at a cost that is much lesser.

According to the source, the foreign distributors are also equally elated about the film. Shai Solomon, the official spokesperson from Shai Motion Pictures said that they are looking forward to the release of ' Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani ', a fresh Bollywood film.It is after a long gap, after ' Devdas ' that any Indian movie will release in Israel.Soloman also expressed that this itself calls for celebration and they are anticipating good numbers and good response from the local film lovers.
