An important announcement from Kamal Haasan on Nov 7!

Nowadays, acclaimed actor Kamal Haasan is in the news more for criticising a few government policies than his film. The latest we hear that he is set to establish direct communication between people and his welfare organization, Kamal Narpani Iyakkam, on his birthday which falls on 7th November. “It is time for an emergency operation and can’t wait anymore for good things to happen on its own,” the actor wrote in his political series Ennul Mayyam Konda Puyal.

If you remember the actor, in one of his recent tweets, had requested his fans and people of Tamil Nadu to send complaints against corruption to the ministers concerned in a digital format as complaints on paper would be torn and thrown away. The actor had requested the people to raise their voice against corruption and also ask questions in a respectable manner.

In his last column for the Tamil magazine, the National Award winning actor had even apologized to the people for supporting the Centre’s demonetization policy, saying people had faced hardships due to the move. The actor has even remarked, 'When I am elected, I’d like to be held accountable by the voter. Don’t vote me in and wait for five years to vote me out. Sack me immediately if I don’t deliver.'
