Madhuri Dixit Nene to star in her first Marathi film ‘Bucket List’!

After being in the Hindi film industry for 34 years, dancing diva, Madhuri Dixit Nene is finally making her debut in the Marathi film industry with the movie, ‘Bucket List’. Though the actress belongs to Maharashtra, she never got the chance to act in a Marathi film. Now, for the first time, she will be seen in a regional (Marathi) film along with co-star from the past, Renuka Shahane . Recently, the first look of the movie was shared by Madhuri on her Twitter page and the actress is a pocketful full of sunshine in it. With phrases like 'housewife', ‘mother’ and 'friend' as the backdrop; with her million dollar smile and hair tied in a plate, Madhuri exudes vibrancy and strikes a pose in a sari.

‘Bucket List’ is a slice-of-film genre based on a woman who is on her path of self-realization. Talking about her role in detail with a leading daily, the actress revealed, "It is a story of every household yet it has a silver lining. It not only gives you hope and inspiration but also encourages you to live life in the true sense. The most fascinating factor for me to choose it is that it is going to carve a niche in everyone's heart."

"Marathi cinema is evolving beautifully and it makes me proud to see such incredible stories come alive on screen. I have received many scripts over the years since I was always open to acting in Marathi films. However, no script excited me as much as this one. The moment I heard the story, I knew that I wanted to be a part of it." Madhuri added.

The film is helmed by Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar and is being made under the banner of DAR Motion Pictures. Though actual release date of the film is not yet out, the poster says it will be coming out this summer.
