No one had thought that Vivek Oberoi , Ajith Kumar, and Kajal Aggarwal ’s spy thriller neo-noir Vivegam would go on to smash so many box office records within days of its release. But that is actually happening now. The movie, which hit screens on 24th August, is unstoppable at the box office. It has been doing unprecedented business since its release and has pulled in more than Rs. 150 crores at the ticket window, which is just commendable.
The Siva directorial Vivegam, which marks actor Vivek Oberoi ’s debut in Tamil cinema, is rock steady in in Tamil Nadu theatres since day 1. Resultantly, the movie has minted Rs. 157 crores within 14 days of its release. It is still attracting the audience in drove. Industry experts are confident that the movie will soon cross the lifetime box office collection of Vikram’s I.
Ramesh Bala, a well-known trade expert, says, “Vivegam is all set to move ahead of I movie in Chennai.” He took to his Twitter handle and wrote, “After 3rd weekend, #Vivegam crosses the ? 9.5 Cr Gross Mark in #ChennaiCityBoxOffice – All set to move ahead of #IMovie to All-time Top 5!”
If latest reports are to be believed, the fans of Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar are planning to celebrate the 25th day in a grand manner.
