This Indian actor is born on 15 May, 1974 in New Delhi. Shiney Ahuja appeared in several television commercials and did modeling prior to venturing into the movies. He finished his schooling from St. Xavier\'s School in Ranchi. Later on, Army Public School in New Delhi.

Shiney developed fascination for theater since his college days and he enrolled for various acting workshops with Delhi-based National School of Drama. While doing theater, Shiney met theater director Barry John. Then, he became a part of Barry Johns Acting School. In the year 1999, he shifted his base to Mumbai.Shiney Ahuja also appeared in music video \'Stereo Nation\' for the British-Asian band.

The critically acclaimed flick \'Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi\' was Shiney\'s debut movie in the world of Bollywood. The movie was showcased in many film festivals in the year 2004 and the flick released on big screens in 2005. Shiney Ahuja received Filmfare Best Male Debut Award for his performance in the film \'Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi\' in the year 2006. For the same film, Shiney bagged Zee Cine Awards, IIFA Awards, Screen Awards and Stardust Awards. Post this, Shiney acted in the film \'Gangster\' by Mahesh Bhatt. The flick achieved great response from the masses. The actor accomplished IIFA Award for Best Actor (Critics) for the film \'Gangster\' and Society Young Achiever\'s Award for the same flick.

Opposite Kangana Ranaut, Shiney featured in the film \'Woh Lamhe...\' in 2006. One of his movies, \'Har Pall\' released in the year 2010.

Apart from this, the other films done by Shiney include \'Sins\', \'Fanaa\', \'Karam\', \'Kal - Yesterday and Tomorrow\',\'Zindaggi Rocks\', \'Life in a Metro\', \'Bhool Bhulaiyaa\', \'Hijack\' and \'Ghost\'.

Shiney Ahuja is married to Anupam and the couple is having a daughter Arshiya born in 2007.
