5 popular actors who said no to Allu Arjun’s latest blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise

Allu Arjun’s recent film, Pushpa: The Rise Part One (2021), did exceptionally well at the box office. The film collected over ₹300 crore worldwide. What is more amazing about the film’s collection is that the majority of that came from the Hindi audience, which is more than a whopping ₹75 crore.

The film starred Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandana, and Fahadh Faasil in lead roles. It also has a sizzling dance number performed by Samantha Ruth Prabhu, which became popular across India. 1. Mahesh Babu

According to reports, director Sukumar wanted Mahesh Babu to play the titular role of Pushpa Raj, which later went to Allu Arjun. The actor rejected the role as he was not keen on doing make-up and playing the negative role. Mahesh Babu later congratulated Allu Arjun for the film’s massive success.

2. Samantha Ruth Prabhu

Samantha was first approached by the director, Sukumar, to play the female lead in the film. However, she rejected the role, which later went to Rashmika Mandana. But Samantha was convinced to star in the special song "Oo Antava Oo Antava". The song has turned out to be a rage across India.

3. Nora Fatehi

Bollywood’s item queen Nora Fatehi was the choice for the special dance number "Oo Antava Oo Antava" in Pushpa: The Rise (2021). But according to reports, she lost the project as she was demanding huge remuneration for working with Allu Arjun.

4. Disha Patani

Disha Patani, known for her unmatched glamour and beauty, was also approached for the special song in the film. However, for multiple reasons, she rejected the offer, and the song later went to Samantha.

5. Vijay Sethupathi

The antagonist role of SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat was first offered to Kollywood star Vijay Sethupathi. But he rejected the offer for unknown reasons. Thanks to that, Fahadh Faasil got to make his Tollywood debut as Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat and received unanimous praises for his portrayal.
